I have arrived home from my 10 day holiday in Borth, Wales. The first few days it rained at night and was rather miserable for the first part of the day but then cleared up for the lovely afternoons. Then towards the final few days it became sunny and very warm. Driving home today though the rain came back again which made it so much easier to leave. I did not manage to get any writing done while I was away and I only read two novels which is quite unusual. The little people kept me very busy with the trips to the beach and the building of memories.
While I was away I have had some of my fabulous writer friends featured on my blog. I want to thank them all, they are really fantastic! I genuinely enjoyed doing the featured writer posts and have had such great feedback from them that I have decided to carry on doing them. I have not decided whether they will be a weekly, biweekly or monthly spot but they certainly will continue so watch this space.
Two weeks ago I issued a flash fiction challenge with sinister as a theme. I had two entries to the challenge. Here are the stories in case you have not got the chance to read them yet:
Scott joined in with his story - Breaking-up: Someone always gets hurt
Walking the Pattern gave us - Sinister
Feedback from the challenges has been positive but I have been told there are just too many weekly challenges and people are having trouble entering them all. So I decided to carry on with the challenge but make it a biweekly challenge instead. So here it is:
The theme for the next two weeks is shadows. Your story can be up to 1000 words in any genre you wish. It must somehow contain the theme of shadows. Anyone is welcome to join in. Just post a link to your story in the comments section so we know where to go looking for it. Have fun and I look forward to reading them.
